hi Jani,
Im Lucy, am applying for a Bachelor degree of International Business at Savonia uni. I wanna ask you about the living condition for International students...quite confused about this stuff. I heard that it's quite hard for overseas students to get a part-time job there if they dont speak Finnish well, is it true? do Finnish communicate in English? Also, about the city where my uni is located, is the cost of living expensive?  and is it easy to find a part-time job there?

Student life usually quite cheap (at least cheaper than for non-students!) in Finland and student apartment are very nice. For example, every student has always own room and all rooms have quite thick walls so they feel more like own apartment than own room. Everyone in Finland speaks English ok. You can manage in any city with English. Work is different, if you are in customer service most companies require you to be able to speak in Finnish. However, there are jobs which don't require that, but not so much of course

The fact that learning in Finnland don't need school fee attracts me so much but I still have some questions.

Is cost living for students in Finnland more expensive in some other countries like New Zealand or Australia, ... ?

For university, how much I have to pay for cost living a year ?

Moreover, Finnland is very cold and I can suffer coldness not very well. Should I choose Finnland to study ?

Looking forward to the answer, thanks ^^!
